Our Purpose & Objectives
The Early Learning Coalition of Osceola County, Inc. (Coalition) is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization that was created in 1999 by Florida Legislators, with the enactment of Florida Statue 411. Like its 30 counterparts throughout Florida, the Coalition is responsible for overseeing and funding early learning programs using federal, state, and local funding sources. The Coalition currently serves over 4500 children in its two early learning programs – School Readiness and Voluntary Prekindergarten.

Mission Statement
The mission of the Early Learning Coalition of Osceola County is to facilitate access to high quality early education and child care through an integrated system of services including linkages to health care and parenting supports.

Our Purpose
The purpose of the Early Learning Coalition of Osceola County is to develop, implement, and monitor the School Readiness and Voluntary Prekindergarten Programs to ensure Osceola County’s youngest citizens will receive quality, comprehensive early learning services appropriate to their needs, thereby assuring their readiness to enter kindergarten.

Coalition Objectives
Provide oversight of early learning programs to ensure a quality system of early education and care is accessible to Osceola families
Provide leadership through advocacy for early learning programs and services
Provide coordinated professional development activities to strengthen early learning classroom instruction
Increase the number of licensed and accredited early learning providers in Osceola County
Increase awareness and knowledge in parents, providers, and the community at large regarding early learning issues and the importance of every child entering kindergarten “school ready”
Increase involvement opportunities with individuals, community groups and corporations in early learning initiatives
Increase child outcomes in Osceola County
