Seminole County Farm Tour 2023
Do you know where your food comes from? Agriculture is another word for farming. It is the science, art, and practice of cultivating the soil and crop plants and raising livestock. The role of agriculture is to provide the food, raw materials and other products humans need to survive. Basically, farmers help feed the world, cloth the world, shelter the world, and their plants help clean the air.
Come join us for our 2023 Seminole County Farm Tour! You have a chance to learn all about agriculture and how your food is grown. This full-day event is a wonderful opportunity to meet, support, and learn from your Seminole County farmers.
$60 includes a seat on charter bus, tour guide, 5 farmer led visits, lunch, and an unforgettable day! The only way to enjoy the full service farm tour experience is to pre-register and get your seat on the bus. Space is limited!
A big THANK YOU to Seminole County Farm Bureau and Farm Bureau Insurance for their sponsorships to make this event possible!
What to Expect
This is a farm tour, so we will be outside driving and walking on a variety of terrain. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and attire, and bring a hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses too! Be prepared for rain with an umbrella or poncho. You may have an opportunity to purchase some goods at the local farms, so come prepared (ie. cooler, money, etc.), but consider space on the bus. Remember, you can always go back to visit the farms that sell direct to the public... in fact, we encourage it!
