About Spectrum Sound

Chelsea’s heart centered mission is to facilitate healing and transformation to her local community through Energy, Ceremony, and Sound.

Spectrum Sound got their name from working with children on the Autism Spectrum and creating Sensory Soundbath experiences for children with dim room lighting, galaxy lighting, and the aroma of lavender essential oils to soothe and relax the nervous systems of children on the spectrum and their caregivers. Since then, they have collaborated to offer Beachside Full Moon Soundbaths with Yoga, Floating Pool Soundbaths, Caregiver and Child Soundbaths, Private Soundbaths, Women’s Group Soundbaths and Caregiver and Child Yoga and Soundbath in their local community.

What is a Soundbath?

During a Soundbath you lay on a yoga mat with a pillow and blanket as the sound healing practitioner plays 7 Crystal Singing Bowls which take the participants on a sound journey into relaxation, reducing stress, and resetting the nervous system to a calm state of peace and harmony.

Soundbaths can help decrease stress, relieve tension and anxiety, and help you sleep better.

As Reiki Master and Certified Sound Healer, infusing reiki into the Soundbath, intention is set to help your body heal itself on a physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual level as well.

“A sound bath is a full-body meditative experience where people lie down and listen to resonant sounds. It often involves singing bowls, which create an echoing sound that 'bathes' people” in sound.

~ Medical News Today

A “study published in the Journal of Evidence-Based Integrative Medicine found that an hourlong sound meditation helped people reduce tension, anger, fatigue, anxiety, and depression while increasing a sense of spiritual well-being. The sound meditation used a range of Tibetan singing bowls, crystal singing bowls, gongs, Ting-shas (tiny cymbals), dorges (bells), didgeridoos, and other small bells. The main instrument used was the singing bowls for 95% of the session. People who had never done sound meditation experienced significantly less tension and anxiety afterward, as well as those who had done it before.”
