Our mission at Grassroots is to empower neurodiverse learners to thrive using a caring, evidence-based approach.

Who We Are
Our team of six specialists uses evidence-based instructional practices and methodologies, integrating an emotionally sound approach. We know how critical our student’s mental health and emotional wellbeing are to growth and development. Our team includes former teachers in the public and private sectors in the United States and overseas, and parents of neurodivergent children. We each offer skill sets that will help your child begin to feel successful in the short term. With consistency, dedication, and teamwork, your child and his academic team will notice positive shifts in behavior, outlook on school, and in academics.

Educational Consulting
Our team offers educational consulting to navigate the Multi Tiered Systems of Supports (MTSS), Response to Intervention (RTI), 504 Plans (Accommodation Plans), and Individualized Education Plans (IEP). If your child is in a private school, or if you have concerns about your child’s progress we offer free screenings via phone for 20 minutes.

Screenings
If you are concerned about your child’s academic, social, or emotional progress, we offer formal screenings at our office. Screeners take approximately 1-3 hours, developing an academic learning plan, which is discussed with parents. A formal written report is available upon request for an additional fee.

Tutoring
We offer specialized tutoring which is prescriptive, diagnostic, explicit, systematic, cognitive, and emotionally sound. We use a variety of approaches rooted in empirical evidence. We tutor students grades PreK-12, in all subjects. All tutoring is done individually, with face-to-face and online as two options.

Referrals
When developing an academic learning plan with our team, we might make referrals to be formally evaluated by clinical psychologists, or we might refer you to related services, including Speech and Language Pathologist, Occupational Therapy, Executive Functioning Coach/Licensed Mental Health Counselor, or a Board Certified Behavioral Therapist.

We understand each child grows at their own pace. Evidence based practices ensure the most positive and effective outcomes, and we believe a collaborate approach is most effective.
