Ag Adventures 4-H Camp

This camp four-day camp is open to current 4-Hers and the general public. This fun 4-H camp will teach youth ages 11-13 (must be 11 as of September 1, 2022) about our food system.
Participants will learn about Florida agriculture, our top agricultural commodities, tour local farms, shop at our local farmers market, and prepare their lunch using fresh ingredients. Participants will also learn about the food system, gaining an understanding of how food travels and is processed at each stop along the way (farm, processing plant, warehouse, grocery store, table, and landfill) and do a cost analysis on local food vs. purchasing at major grocery stores.
Tuesday, July 18th: 9am-1pm
Wednesday, July 19th: 9am-1pm
Thursday, July 20th: 9am-4pm
Friday, July 21st: 9am-4pm
Youth not currently enrolled in 4-H will be emailed instructions on registering as a 4-H member.
$50 Deposit + Eventbrite fee
$20 state 4-H membership fee paid through 4-H Online.
$75 remaining balance due by June 26
Participants will meet daily at the UF IFAS Extension office in Volusia County: 3100 E. New York Ave. DeLand, FL 32724.
Transportation to field trip locations will be provided.
Participants must bring a packed lunch (except Wednesday), water bottle, and closed toe shoes.
