9:00 AM- 12:00 PM
$20-$50

Information

Open to current 4-Hers and the general public. This fun 4-H camp will teach youth ages 8-10 (must be 8 as of September 1, 2022) about our marine ecosystem.

This three-day camp offers students the opportunity to learn about marine science and conservation through hands on learning activities out in nature. Participants will visit estuarine and coastal habitats to learn about these ecosystems and the plant and animal life living in them. Students will learn how to use scientific equipment such as microscopes, refractometers, and seine nets to study the plankton that makes up base of the food web, understand the mixing of salt and fresh water in estuaries, and identify juvenile fish. Most importantly, students will examine the natural world though a conservation lens and discuss ways that we can conserve and protect out natural resources and local ecosystems.

Each day of camp we will be meeting at a different location. Parent/guardians are responsible for transportation. Drop off/pick up will be from the locations listed below.
